One call. The right operator, every time.
Sierra Transportation is a licensed booking service — we don't own or operate vehicles ourselves. Instead, we handle your booking from request to confirmation, then match you to a vetted, licensed, and insured operator from our California network. Home base is Northern California, but the network reaches anywhere in the state — you get more available vehicles and dates than any single company could offer, with one point of contact managing the details. — Devon K.

— Tony R.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Common questions about booking transportation in California.
What areas of California do you serve?
Our home base is the Greater Sacramento Area, with a concentrated network across the Bay Area, Napa and Sonoma wine country, and Lake Tahoe. Beyond those hubs, we arrange private and charter transportation anywhere in California, including Los Angeles, San Diego, and the Central Coast.
What types of vehicles are available?
Executive sedans, luxury SUVs, stretch limousines, executive Sprinter vans, full-size charter motorcoaches, and school & activity buses. Whether you need an airport car service for one traveler or a charter bus for a school district or corporate retreat, we can match the right vehicle to the trip.
Do you provide airport transfers?
Yes. We arrange flight-tracked airport transfers to and from Sacramento International (SMF), San Francisco International (SFO), Oakland International (OAK), and San Jose International (SJC), with pickup times adjusted automatically for delays or early arrivals.
Can Sierra Transportation handle wedding and event transportation?
Yes — stretch limousines and executive Sprinters are commonly booked for weddings, quinceañeras, proms, and corporate events throughout Napa Valley, Sacramento, and the Bay Area, with one dispatcher managing the timeline from the getting-ready suite to the last drop-off.
Do you offer charter buses for schools and youth sports?
Yes. We arrange CHP-certified motorcoach and school & activity bus operators for field trips, athletics, and California school district contracts, vetted to the same licensing and insurance standard as every other vehicle class in our network.
How far in advance should I book?
Most quotes are returned within one business hour, and many trips can be arranged with short notice. For weddings, charter motorcoaches, and multi-vehicle events, we recommend booking a few weeks ahead to guarantee your preferred vehicle and date.

BOOKING AGENT DISCLOSURE & TERMS
Who does what, in plain terms.
We'd rather you know exactly how a Sierra booking works before you make one. This section is a summary for your convenience — full terms are provided at booking confirmation.
Our Role
Sierra Transportation is a licensed transportation booking service. We do not own, lease, or operate any vehicles. Every trip booked through Sierra Transportation is performed by an independent, third‑party transportation company ("the Operator") that holds its own operating authority, licensing, insurance, and permits, and that we have vetted for inclusion in our network.
Operator Responsibility
The Operator assigned to your trip is solely responsible for the safe, timely, and lawful performance of the transportation service — including vehicle condition and maintenance, driver qualifications, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
Limitation of Liability
Sierra Transportation's role is limited to arranging transportation on your behalf. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Sierra Transportation is not liable for any act, omission, delay, accident, injury, loss, or damage arising from the transportation services provided by an Operator. Claims relating to the performance of a trip should be directed to the Operator and/or its insurer; Sierra Transportation will assist in facilitating that communication.
Insurance & Licensing
Each Operator in our network is required to carry commercial auto liability insurance and any additional coverage required by California and federal law for its vehicle class. Licensing and proof of insurance are verified before an Operator joins our network and periodically thereafter.
Booking, Pricing & Payment Policy
Quotes are based on the trip details submitted at booking and are confirmed prior to travel. Pricing may be adjusted for itinerary changes, additional stops, or extended wait time.
Please Note: Sierra Transportation collects only our service fee at the time of booking. The remaining balance for the trip goes directly to the Operator performing your transportation services, as reflected on your confirmation.
Cancellations & Changes
Cancellation and change policies vary by trip type, vehicle class, and Operator. Applicable terms and deadlines are provided in writing at the time of booking confirmation.
Acceptance of Terms
By submitting a booking request, you acknowledge that Sierra Transportation acts solely as a booking agent and intermediary, and you agree to the terms summarized above and provided in full at booking confirmation.
